The 8-1 Liberty Flames looks to right the ship after its first loss of the season, and nobody better to do it against than the 0-3 UMass Minutemen in its final game of a pandemic-shortened campaign.
Look, this is not going to be anything even resembling a close game. UMass has scored 12 points all season, and the Flames average close to 40 per game. The Minutemen are ranked near the bottom of every statistical category in the sport. The only potential mismatch in this game is UMass creating explosive plays on the ground, where they rank 80th in the nation (which is its best in any statistic). Liberty is bad at limiting big running plays, ranked 108th in the country and allowing a run of 12+ yards on close to 15% of carries.
The Flames are led by quarterback Malik Willis who leads the team in rushing and passing, and has 26 total scores on the season with just four interceptions. UMass only has two takeaways on the season, so its highly unlikely for them to gain any possessions this week either.

- UMass is 4-10-1 ATS in its last 15
- The total has gone over in all but four of the Minutemen’s last 13 games. Mainly because they get scored on a lot
- Liberty is undefeated ATS this season
- The total has gone over in all but one of the Flames’ last five games.

The Best Bet
The point total is pretty high on this one and I’m not entirely sure UMass will score any points. Liberty’s offense is good, but would they really score close to 60 on an opponent who can’t get anything on the board? I doubt it.
Pick: Under 57.5
