The Buffalo Bills suffered a huge injury in practice as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 12. Left guard Cody Ford, arguably the team’s best offensive lineman, suffered a season-ending injury in practice. Ian Rapoport is reporting it as a torn meniscus that will require 3-4 months of rehab.
This is a big deal across the board, but as we head into Week 12, it’s worth noting for a few reasons. Zack Moss and Devin Singletary will not have their best offensive lineman to run behind, and Josh Allen will not have the same level of protection. From a fantasy football perspective, that will impact their ceilings. They still remain valuable fantasy commodities, but this could create some problems.
The Bills offensive line has already had its share of issues, rankings 27th in adjusted line yards and 18th in adjusted sack rate. This will drop them down a bit as they prepare to face a Chargers defensive front that hasn’t been particularly great — ranking 23rd in adjusted line yards and 15th in adjusted sack rate — but will look to take advantage of this absence.
