Through the first half of the season or so, Jared Cook was a decent TE2 in fantasy football. But he’s been struggling lately. His recent downturn is enough of a trend now that the New Orleans Saints tight end might be best left on the waiver wire this week when they face the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Football analysis: Saints TE Jared Cook
Cook has three catches on six targets and just 36 yards in his last three games. He hasn’t found the end zone since Week 8. Last week with Taysom Hill taking over quarterback duties, Cook had just one catch on a single target for a measly six yards. That doesn’t bode well for his fantasy football production going forward.
The Broncos have done pretty well defending opposing tight ends. They haven’t let one score since Week 1, and the position group is averaging just under 50 yards per game against Denver. I’d leave Cook out of your lineup this week.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Jared Cook.
