Saturday Update — Montgomery has cleared concussion protocol and has a full participant in every practice this week. He doesn’t have an injury designation and will likely resume his usual workload after missing two games.
Things haven’t been going well for the Bears lately, and though some fantasy players are immune to the struggles of their team as a whole, David Montgomery does not seem to belong in that fortunate category. Montgomery has averaged 12.3 points per game this season and should be returning in Week 12 after missing Week 10 due to a concussion. Is Montgomery a good bet for your lineups this week? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears Running Back David Montgomery
Montgomery hasn’t been overly impressive so far this season, as he is only averaging 3.6 yards per carry and has managed to find the end zone just twice this season. Luckily for Montgomery, the Packers have allowed the fourth most points to opposing fantasy PPR running backs and the third most points to running backs in standard leagues so far this season, providing him with some much needed upside.
Provided that he is healthy and that he returns to his full complement of 14-15 carries per game, Montgomery should be a solid flex option in Week 12 and you should feel good about adding him to lineups accordingly.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start David Montgomery as a flex.
