Game day update: Taysom Hill is in line to make his second-straight on Sunday against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Even though he did not throw a single touchdown last week against a poor Falcons’ passing defense, Hill did pick up 51 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground, which is a fantastic production for a streamer QB. He should be able to be effectively again on the ground against a Broncos’ defense that has given up three rushing touchdowns to opposing QBs this season. ESPN projects Hill to score 16.6 fantasy points.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when the New Orleans Saints made Taysom Hill their starting quarterback in place of an injured Drew Brees. If anything, I though with Michael Thomas back in the lineup finally, that Jameis Winston might be the better choice. I was wrong. Hill dunked all over the Falcons, collecting 233 passing yards and rushing 10 times for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns. So what can he do this week against the Broncos?
Fantasy Football analysis: Saints QB Taysom Hill
Don’t just look at his rushing numbers; although, those are definitely an important part of his fantasy appeal. He threw the ball well enough to be a decent threat in the passing game. His connection with Michael Thomas will definitely be a problem for the Broncos this week.
Denver’s defense is a little better than Atlanta’s, having given up just one passing touchdown in their last two games. But they weren’t contending with as good of an opponent. The Broncos are also susceptible to the run; Cam Newton had 76 yards and a rushing touchdown against them this season. Heck, even Sam Darnold ran for a touchdown and 84 yards against them.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Taysom Hill.
