The Seattle Seahawks will finally see running back Chris Carson back in action this week when they travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. It’s his first game since Week 7, and this one looks like a nice, soft landing too. You can also expect to see a decent amount of work from Carlos Hyde, who’s been filling the No. 1 role nicely over his last two games.
Fantasy Football analysis: Seahawks RBs Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde
Carson was practicing again this week, and thanks to Seattle’s long layoff between their Week 11 game and this one, he’s had plenty of time to get back up to speed. Just how much the Seahawks will use him in his first game back in action remains to be seen, but it is possible that his snap count could still be somewhat limited.
Hyde had 79 rushing yards and a touchdown last week against Arizona, and he posted 68 rushing yards and a score the week before that. He’ll see meaningful action against a run defense that’s been rather porous lately.
Without knowing how the workload will be split, both guys have some appeal as RB2 or RB3. I’d give Carson the edge over Hyde, who still makes a solid RB3/Flex.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde.
