Barring any last minute disruptions due to COVID-19, both the Duke Blue Devils and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will see the field for the first time in weeks when both teams meet in Atlanta on Saturday.
Tech has been out of commission since Halloween, where they suffered a 31-13 home loss at the hands of Notre Dame. With a 2-5 record, has shown modest improvement in year-two of the Geoff Collins era. While inconsistent at times under the Jeff Sims led offense, the Jackets have shown an ability to break off chunk plays, ranking 26th in explosive rate.
David Cutcliffe’s Blue Devils were last in action three weeks ago where they got pummeled 56-24 by North Carolina in their annual rivalry showdown. After three straight weeks of holding opponents to four yards a carry or under, the Blue Devils were gashed by the Tar Heels for 332 rushing yards on 7.2 ypc and five touchdowns.
