Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey was listed as questionable on this week’s Friday injury report, but the team changed his official status on Saturday to out. He is still dealing with the shoulder injury that’s left him sidelined since Week 9. McCaffrey did not travel with the team for their game against the Vikings.

Fantasy impact: Christian McCaffrey (Shoulder)

Head coach Matt Rhule was pretty clear about McCaffrey’s availability for Sunday, saying earlier in the week that he was pessimistic about the running back returning. Hurt after just two games, with an ankle injury, McCaffrey made a brief return to action before hurting his shoulder.

That leave Mike Davis in the spotlight for another week at least. Davis had 64 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries last week against the Lions. He had another 15 yards on two catches. He’s a solid starter this week against the Vikings, and is worth a spot in fantasy lineups.
