We go over who you should start and who you should sit at kicker for Week 12.

Getting an unexpected boost from your kicker can be huge in fantasy football and we’ve got our eyes on a few ahead of Week 12. We’ve identified two kickers who are ideal starters and two who could bust ahead of the action. Let’s go over some of the top options and fades.

Kicker Starts

Daniel Carlson, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Atlanta Falcons

Carlson is tied for first in fantasy points among kickers and will be up against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Derek Carr can build upon a strong Week 11 performance and Carlson should get plenty of chances to finish drives if the Raiders come up short. He’s made 91.3 percent of his field goal attempts and 96.8 percent of his extra point attempts.

Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Bills are clicking on offense and Los Angeles has yet to play in a game that wasn’t decided by a score. I don’t see either side stopping the other in this matchup and Bass has scored at least 12 points three times in his last four games.

Kicker Sits

Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams

The 49ers are still dealing with injuries all over and are up against one of the most well-rounded defenses in the NFL. The secondary smothers pass catchers and the defensive line creates a ton of pressure. I don’t expect the 49ers to spend much time in the red zone at SoFi Stadium.

Sergio Castillo, New York Jets vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Castillo has done fine as a Sam Ficken fill-in but still has a terrible offense he must depend on to get him scoring opportunities. Two field goal attempts per game won’t yield significant fantasy numbers.
