What to do with Patrick Mahomes this week? Well, start him. Okay, it’s not quite that easy. The Chiefs aren’t playing a practice team like the Jets; they’ve got a tough matchup against the Buccaneers. But Mahomes’ fantasy football scoring potential is just too great to leave him on the bench, no matter who the Chiefs are playing.

Fantasy Football analysis: Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes threw two touchdowns and one interception, along with 348 yards, last week against the Raiders. In his two games before that, he tossed a combined nine touchdown passes along with almost 800 yards.

Opposing quarterbacks are averaging just under 20 points per game against the Bucs, thanks in part to their 14 picks this year, including three in their last two games. However, signal callers have recently had some success against Tampa Bay, including Jared Goff and Teddy Bridgewater who combined for five scores over the last two games, and Drew Brees had four touchdown throws back in Week 9. The potential is there for Mahomes to have another big game.
