Jared Goff is coming off of a great Week 11 performance against the Buccaneers, in which he turned in his first three touchdown performance since Week 2. The Rams welcome the 49ers into town this weekend as they look to build on a two game winning streak. Goff and the team as a whole came up short the last time these two teams met so this would be somewhat of a redemption game for the Rams. Will Goff be up to the task of leading his team to victory? We break down the fantasy analysis below.

Fantasy Football analysis: Rams QB Jared Goff

Jared Goff is finding his groove and will look to improve on his performance from his first matchup with the 49ers this season. Goff completed only 19 of 38 passes for 198 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in that performance to total 14.92 fantasy points. The 49ers are middle of the pack in terms of points allowed to opposing quarterbacks this year making them neither a matchup to target nor a matchup to avoid. Goff typically only enters QB1 territory when he has a plus matchup, leaving him on the outside looking in this weekend. He is a high end QB2 and can be serviceable in a pinch, but most owners in standard leagues should be able to afford keeping him on the bench this week.
