What to do with Ryan Tannehill in Week 12 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Ryan Tannehill ahead of the Titans Week 12 matchup against the Colts.

Ryan Tannehill will try to gain a measure of revenge this week on the Indianapolis Colts, who handed the Titans their most lopsided loss of the season just two weeks ago.

Fantasy Football analysis: Titans QB Ryan Tannehill

In that 34-17 defeat, Tannehill accrued just 10.8 DraftKings points, his lowest tally of the year. The Colts currently rank second in total defense, so there’s no shame in that total. It points more toward what Tannehill’s past handful of weeks have been like. He has scored fewer than 20 fantasy points in each of his last five games. During that period, he has fallen short of 200 passing yards twice and has thrown 30 or fewer passes in all but one game. In that one outlier — Week 11 at Baltimore — he needed overtime to exceed 30. He has still been very efficient when it comes to scoring; his 7.1 TD rate is fifth-highest in the league. That has kept him worth starting in most formats. But with the Titans’ riding Derrick Henry to the playoffs once again, the low passing volume puts a pretty hard cap on Tannehill’s ceiling.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

A low-end QB1 in weeks even when he has a good matchup, you should probably ignore Tannehill against the Colts’ solid defense.
