Game status: Jordan Reed is ACTIVE for Week 12.
San Francisco 49ers tight end Jordan Reed is listed as questionable on this week’s injury report. He is dealing with a non-COVID illness that kept him out of practice on Thursday and Friday this week. That leaves his status for Sunday’s game against the Rams up in the air.
Fantasy impact: Jordan Reed (Illness)
Reed has been thrust into the spotlight since the team lost George Kittle. Last week, he had a solid outing with five catches on six targets for 62 yards. But the week before that he split targets with Ross Dwelley, and finished with just one catch three yards.
If Reed can’t play this week, Dwelley would have the tight end spot to himself. That would make him a low end TE2 option for fantasy lineups this week. If Reed does play, he’s a slightly better choice. The 49ers play the Rams this week who haven’t given up more than 50 yards to a tight end since Kittle went for 109 yards and a touchdown back in Week 6.
