The Green Bay Packers are heading into their Week 12 matchup against the Chicago Bears with some fog around their wide receiver situation. Marquez Valdes-Scantling got hurt in practice on Thursday this week, with what’s listed as an Achilles injury. He then missed Friday’s session, which usually doesn’t bode well for a player’s availability.
Fantasy impact: Marquez Valdes-Scantling (Achilles)
MVS is officially listed as questionable. Head coach Matt LaFleur was hopeful when asked about MVS’s status earlier this week, but added that we probably wouldn’t know for sure until Sunday.
He was Aaron Rodgers’ No. 2 option behind obvious No. 1 Davante Adams last week, despite the return of Allen Lazard. He had three catches on six targets for 55 yards. The week before he had 149 yards and a touchdown.
If MVS can’t play this week, that would automatically vault Lazard back into the No. 2 role, where he’d be a decent option for a WR3 in fantasy lineups.
