Game status: Deebo Samuel is ACTIVE for Week 12.
The San Francisco 49ers’ have been ravaged by injuries at several positions this season but they could get a boost at wide receiver in their Week 12 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. San Francisco will need al the help it can get against the NFL’s top pass defense. Let’s go over the fantasy outlook for the pass catchers who could make a difference for the 49ers.
Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers WRs Deebo Samuel, Richie James, Kendrick Bourne
Brandon Aiyuk won’t play following his positive Covid-19 test, but Samuel does appear to be on track to return for the first time since Week 7. He entered 2020 as San Francisco’s WR1 but has only played in four games because of health issues. He’s only caught 16 passes but has notched at least one rushing attempt in every game he’s played in as well. He easily has the highest upside among 49ers pass catchers. James hasn’t come close to matching the nine-catch performance he had against the Green Bay Packers but lead all San Francisco wideouts in snaps played (69) in Week 10. He seems like a much bigger threat than Bourne,
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Samuel because of how he can be used as a gadget player, but sit James and Bourne. It’s unlikely that more than one 49ers receiver will get going in this matchup.
