The 25th-ranked Michigan Wolverines will take on the winless Oakland Golden Grizzlies Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET in Ann Arbor, MI.
The Wolverines (1-0) are coming into Sunday’s game off of a high-scoring regular-season opener 96-82 win over Bowling Green earlier this week. Wake Forest transfer Chaundee Brown led all Wolverine players in scoring with 19 points off the bench. Brown was one of five Michigan players in double figures, and he shot 5-of-7 from three-point range. Senior guard Isaiah Livers was right behind Brown, scoring 17 points and grabbing nine rebounds.
The Wolverines controlled the glass against the Falcons, winning the rebounding battle 44-34. They also shot 54.1 percent from the field as a team while only allowing Bowling Green to shoot 37.1 percent from the field. However, Michigan didn’t do a great job of defending the three-point shot as Bowling Green shot 41.9 percent on 29 attempts.
As for Oakland (0-3), they lost on Friday to the Bradley Braves 74-60, extending their losing streak to three games. In that game, junior guard Jalen Moore was the game’s leading scorer with 17 points on 5-of-17 shooting from the field. He also had seven steals to go along with five assists. The Golden Grizzlies as a team did not shoot the ball well, shooting 29 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from three-point range. Defensively, they did not do a great job of protecting the perimeter against Bradley. The Braves shot 51.8 percent from the field and 47.6 percent from three-point range. When that happens in any game, your chances of winning go from slim to none.

The Best Bet
This is another easy bet on the Sunday slate of college basketball games. Michigan should not have problems with the Grizzlies, especially with their ability to shoot the three-ball. The Wolverines have too much firepower offensively between Livers and Brown off the bench.
