The top of the polls this week remain basically the same this week, with only the Coaches flip-flopping the Ohio State Buckeyes and Clemson Tigers. The Tigers 52-17 evisceration of the Pittsburgh Panthers was enough for some voters to have them avoiding Alabama in the semifinals of the College Football Playoff.
The biggest fall was by the Oregon Ducks, whose loss to Civil War rival the Oregon State Beavers beat them on the final offensive play of the game with a quarterback who had literally never stepped foot on an FBS field before that snap. They were punished, but are still in the Top 25.
The newly-welcomed Washington Huskies join the USC Trojans as the only Pac-12 representatives in either poll, as both teams are 3-0 and might be on a collision course for the Pac-12 Championship Game.
We also welcome back Liberty following their 45-0 defeat of UMass (which was barely a cover), as well as the Iowa Hawkeyes after their 26-20 win over Nebraska in Kinnick Stadium.
