How many wins do the Lions have and where are they compared to preseason win total odds

We track the Detroit Lions win total so far in 2020 and whether they are on pace for their preseason odds.

Ahead of the 2020 NFL season, DraftKings Sportsbook set projected win totals for each NFL team. Some teams are well on their way to exceeding these win totals, outperforming the bar oddsmakers set for them prior to Week 1. Other teams need a bit more help to get there.

There was real optimism for the Lions this season after Matthew Stafford played so well in his eight healthy games in 2019. Unfortunately it hasn’t been all bread and roses for the Lions this season, as they sit at 3-4 while Stafford hasn’t been awful, he hasn’t been able to take the team on his shoulders. The loss of Kenny Golladay has hurt the overall offense and he is injured again.

Their win total is still in reach though. With three wins, they need four more over the last nine games to beat their six win preseason over-under. The Lions are very much a team in the middle. They aren’t awful and they aren’t great. Even their DVOA tracks, as they rank 18th in overall offensive DVOA and 17th in defensive DVOA. With a decent schedule in the second half of the season, they could beat their over-under with seven wins.

Getting Golladay back sooner than later is likely a big piece to get them wins though. His presence is big to get this offense out of neutral.
