UPDATE: The Cowboys are looking for other options at quarterback and Cooper Rush is a possibility, per Ian Rapoport. Rush has been on and off with the Cowboys for the last three seasons and they brought him in after Dak Prescott’s injury. He has one completion in his career.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton will miss Week 9 due to being placed on the Covid-19 list, per Todd Archer. Dalton missed the Week 8 game due to still being in concussion protocol, so there was a chance he could miss this week’s matchup with the Steelers as it is, but now it’s a moot point.
Dalton hadn’t stepped up in place of Dak Prescott like the team would have liked, but Dalton’s backup, Ben DiNucci has been mostly disastrous as the starter. Unfortunately, the Cowboys face a Steelers defense that has been playing lights out. It will be interesting to see where the odds for this matchup land. There is no doubt the Steelers will be favored by double-digits.
