It’s hard to key in on any Indianapolis Colts pass catcher this season but Trey Burton is making a case for himself as a quality Week 13 waiver wire pickup. The seventh-year tight end has a nose for the end zone and has been able to produce at a high level despite having plenty of competition at his position. His recent production could indicate that he’s worth picking up.
Burton has a nose for the end zone and gets the job done despite not having the gaudies stats. He only caught two passes for 25 yards and a score in Week 12 but has scored a touchdown in four of his last six games. Indianapolis likes to get creative with Burton and that’s led to two rushing touchdowns for the 29-year-old this season. He’s just as dangerous as Mo Alie-Cox and Jack Doyle but is only rostered in 5 percent of ESPN leagues. Take a long, hard look at Burton if you need help at tight end in a deeper league.
