UPDATE: ESPN has updated their waiver wire schedule and will now run waivers early Friday morning.
The Week 12 matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers is set to take place on Wednesday after being moved from Thanksgiving due to a rapid surge in positive Covid-19 tests between the two teams. Luckily for fantasy football managers in ESPN, the matchup will still be a part of the Week 12 slate.
ESPN has extended all Week 12 fantasy football slates through Wednesday to accommodate for the delay, according to Mike Clay. Additionally, waiver wire deadlines will also be pushed back a day, so there’s time for you to replace Steelers and Ravens players who could be ruled out of Wednesday’s game ahead of the action. Steelers and Ravens players have combined to total more than 20 positive Covid-19 tests in the last week. Waivers will run early Wednesday morning instead of early Tuesday morning.
This change was possible because there’s no Thursday Night Football in Week 13 due to the Covid-19 rescheduling. The same solution might not be an option if a similar situation occurs before the season is up.
