The Philadelphia Eagles planned on using Jalen Hurts a little more this week according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. He came in for one play early in the second quarter and made a completion, but Carson Wentz came back in and was quickly sacked, forcing the Eagles to punt once again. So far, Hurts’ usage appears to be the same as usual, as he does get a few snaps each game.
In his short career, Hurts (including tonight’s one completion) has completed all three of his passes for 33 yards and rushed 12 times for 56 yards, with a long run of 20 yards. And with the way Wentz has played this season, it’s hard for Eagles fans not to want to see more of Hurts. Wentz this season, has thrown 14 touchdowns to 14 interceptions and has lost six fumbles.
We’ll keep an eye on Hurts in this Monday night matchup with the Seahawks and keep you updated on his progress.
