Friday update: Mark Ingram has been designated as doubtful for Week 9.
Thursday update: Mark Ingram misses another practice, per Jeff Zrebiec. At this point he looks like he will be out against the Colts. J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards will split the work once again in Week 9.
Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram didn’t practice on Wednesday, per the Baltimore Sun’s Daniel Oyefusi. Ingram’s ankle wasn’t deemed serious after he suffered the injury in Week 6 against the Eagles, but it was later learned that the injury was a “mid- to high-ankle sprain,” per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Last week both J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards put up good numbers against the Steelers strong run defense. If Ingram can’t go again this week, both have some fantasy value, even in a tough matchup with the Colts.
Ingram hasn’t lived up to his starting running back billing for fantasy footballers, as he’s had to share work with Edwards and Dobbins so much that his touch numbers look more like a backup. And now their early round pick, Dobbins, has put on some excellent tape and could start seeing more work, even when Ingram returns. At this point, Ingram is droppable in many leagues.
