Aaron Rodgers is currently the 6th ranked fantasy football quarterback. If you remove a Week 3 outlier performance of 3.8 points, he would be averaging 25.7 fantasy points, which would give him the 4th highest scoring average of remaining healthy quarterbacks. He has returned to fantasy greatness and seems somewhat unstoppable when he’s got Davante Adams to look to on the field. Is Rodgers worthy of a start against the San Francisco secondary this week? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers hasn’t seen many formidable defenses this season, and he has managed to capitalize on that favorable schedule. The toughest secondary he faced, the Buccaneers, held him to only 3.8 fantasy points. Luckily for Rodgers, that game appears to have been a fluke. Even if it wasn’t, the 49ers secondary is less intimidating than Tampa Bay’s. They allow an average of 21.4 points to opposing quarterbacks and have allowed nine receiving touchdowns this year. The Packers look like they will be down their top three running backs this week, so the team may be forced to get it done through the air. With Davante Adams healthy, Rodgers is a must start each week. That will not change this week, and he belongs in your lineups as a QB1.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Aaron Rodgers as a QB1.
