The San Francisco 49ers backfield has taken some serious hits and most of the familiar faces will be sidelined. The team will roll out JaMycal Hasty and Jerick McKinnon due to multiple injuries up and down the depth chart. It’s not clear which of Hasty or McKinnon will end up with the majority of the workload, but we do know who will not be taking part.
Raheem Mostert (ankle)
Mostert suffered a high-ankle sprain versus the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6 and was subsequently placed on IR.
Jeff Wilson Jr. (ankle)
No amount of injuries can slow down the Kyle Shanahan run game — Wilson Is the proof. He was the next man up in Week 7’s contest versus the Patriots, and he showed out, posting 120 scrimmage yards and three TDs on just 37 offensive snaps. He suffered a high ankle sprain on his third score and was placed on IR ahead of their Week 8 game. He will miss a minimum of three weeks.
Tevin Coleman (knee)
Coleman has played just 42 offensive snaps over three games so far in 2020, and it doesn’t appear that his luck is close to changing. Coleman suffered a knee sprain in Week 2 that landed him on IR but was activated ahead of Week 8. He left the game after just playing just six snaps and was ruled out with an injury to the same knee. He’s been ruled out ahead of TNF.
