After pulling off big upset win last week, Michigan State is looking to keep momentum going as they head to another Big Ten foe in the 1-1 Iowa Hawkeyes .
Michigan State is riding high after its win over the Michigan Wolverines last week, but struggled in the team’s opener against the Rutgers Scarlett Knights. Last week the offense improved dramatically, gaining close to 100 more yards than it did in its first game and scoring 27 points each week. But the defense held the opposition to just 24, and a big reason for that is because the offense didn’t cough the ball up at all. In the Rutgers game the Spartans committed seven turnovers, giving RU a massive advantage.
Iowa is coming off a tough loss against the Northwestern Wildcats. The passing game has been steady through two games, but the offense has turned the ball over five total times already this season, something that directly impacted the team’s one point loss to Northwestern. The ground game is averaging 4.6 yards per carry, but will face a tall task against an MSU defense that allows just 3.4 yards per carry.

MSU is a confusing team early, but you know exactly what to expect from Iowa. Both teams score consistently around 20 and 27 points each, but if MSU’s offense doesn’t turn the ball over they can go for a big number.
