The 2-3 TCU Horned Frogs welcome the Texas Tech Red Raiders to Fort Worth on Saturday afternoon as the team’s try and inch further away from the bottom of the Big 12.
The Horned Frogs offense is pretty modest by Big 12 standards. The team averages just 25 points per game, but the defense is quite good by those same standards allowing under 30 points per game. TTU likes to work on the ground through a couple running backs and quarterback Max Duggan. This season the Red Raiders have 850 yards and eight scores on the ground, with just six through the air. The defense gives up a modest 150 yards on the ground each week, but gets gashed by the pass, allowing close to 350 yards on average. It’s why they give up over 40 points per game, conceding over 60 points twice this season.
Texas Tech’s offense is the highlight. Alan Bowman has started just twice, but has 755 yards passing and seven touchdown passes in those games. TCU’s defense is good against the pass, only allowing opposing QB’s to toss for more than 250 yards one time. They don’t take the ball away much though, with just two interceptions on the season.

The Best Bet
Even though TCU has a decent defense, the Tech offense can score a ton of points. The Red Raider defense is pretty weak, so the Horned Frogs should be able to put up more points than usual here too.
Pick: Over 61.5
