Last minute update: Seahawks beat writer Brady Henderson thinks Dallas will lead the way while Homer ends up with more than the seven snaps he played last week.
Game day update: The usage for the collection of RBs the Seahawks have strung together remains a bit of a question mark. DeeJay Dallas tops the list with 12.8 points today and would be the safest bet for some work. The Buffalo Bills have been generous to running backs, as the team ranks top-five in rushing yards allowed (1,076), rushing touchdowns allowed (11) and rushing first-downs allowed (74).
Seattle Seahawks running backs Carlos Hyde and Chris Carson have been ruled out for Sunday’s game, so the team will look to DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer to handle the load in the Seattle backfield this weekend. If you’re an owner of either back, here’s how you should handle them in Week 9.
Fantasy Football analysis: Seahawks RB DeeJay Dallas, Travis Homer
Hyde will be sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Carson is out with a foot injury. In the most recent game against the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas carried the ball for 41 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries and caught five passes for 17 yards and a touchdown. Homer received just one carry for four yards in his lone statistic of the game.
Seattle will see the Buffalo Bills on the road on Sunday afternoon. Buffalo is coming off a 24-21 home win over the New England Patriots. In that game, the Bills allowed 5.5 yards per carry. Damien Harris ran the ball 16 times for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Dallas should be started this weekend and is a high-end running back No. 2 on Sunday, and Homer should not be trusted to be entered into fantasy lineups. It’s worth noting that the Seahawks signed RB Alex Collins to their practice squad; he’d certainly pose a risk to Dallas’ touches if active.
