Report: Utah State head coach Gary Andersen leaving school

In one of the massive news dumps of all time, word about Andersen started leaking about 20 minutes after Joe Biden was declared President.

Step aside, Alex Cora: You’re not the biggest news dump of the first week in November.

While people across America were either celebrating or coalescing around the pronouncement of Joe Biden as the next President of the United States, the Utah State Aggies began to have it leak out that head football coach Gary Andersen is leaving.

The Aggies were 0-3, with losses to Boise State, Utah State and Nevada by a combined score of 114-29. The move is a bit of a surprise considering the Aggies were 7-6 last season with a 51-41 loss in the Frisco Bowl to Kent State.

But there apparently isn’t much patience or a bigger issue in Logan to move along a coach that also served in the same job from 2009-12. Andersen went on to Wisconsin for two years and three more at Oregon State before making his return.

The Aggies are scheduled to play five more games in the Mountain West Conference this season.
