Dalton Schultz put forth a valiant effort in a tough Week 8 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. He finished the game with six receptions for 53 yards and 11.3 PPR points despite an overall terrible performance from Ben DiNucci and the Cowboys offense. He is currently the 11th ranked fantasy tight end this season, and many owners are wondering if he can be trusted in lineups this weekend against a Steelers defense that has allowed the third fewest points to opposing tight ends. We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz
Dalton Schultz took a hit with the rest of the Cowboys offense as they lost both their starting quarterback and their back up quarterback in a matter of a few weeks. Schultz’s season was a bit of a roller coaster even prior to the quarterback woes with weekly performances ranging from 1.6 to 21.8 points. Even with strong quarterback play, Schultz was a wildcard, and facing the tough Pittsburgh defense does not boost his value. Schultz should only be considered in two TE leagues or as a bye week fill in this week. Otherwise, he should be left on the bench.
