So far this season Teddy Bridgewater has been a decent fill-in quarterback for fantasy teams. He’s the kind of guy you can slot into your lineup, depending on the matchup, for a steady hand at the QB position. Will that be the case this week against Kansas City?
Fantasy Football analysis: Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater
Last week against the Falcons, Bridgewater 176 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. It was the first time all season he’s had less than 200 yards in a game. On the season so far, he’s got 2,106 passing yards to go with nine touchdowns and six interceptions. While he has been a solid presence under center for the surprisingly competitive Panthers, Bridgewater’s production isn’t blowing anyone away in fantasy.
He could get some help this week from running back Christian McCaffrey, who is likely to return to action. McCaffrey is capable of producing like a wide receiver in the passing game, and the Panthers will need everything they can get against the Chiefs. The Chiefs defense has been pretty tough on opposing passers, holding them to well under 20 points per game. The ceiling for Bridgewater this week just isn’t high enough, and the floor could be awfully low, to start him.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Teddy Bridgewater.
