What to do with Phillip Rivers in Week 9 fantasy football

We go over Phillip Rivers’ fantasy football outlook ahead of the Colts Week 9 matchup against the Ravens.

Don’t look now, but Philip Rivers is on a hot streak. After a slow start in his first season with the Indianapolis Colts, the veteran quarterback has been flinging it and rolling up fantasy points in the process. The question this week is whether or not he can keep it up against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Football analysis: Colts QB Phillip Rivers

Rivers had just four touchdowns to five interception through the first five games of the season. But two weeks ago against the Bengals, he turned it up a notch, connecting on three touchdown passes and rolling up 371 passing yards, a season high. Last week against the Lions, he threw another three touchdown passes.

This week he faces a Ravens team that’s struggled lately. Last week, they gave up a pair of touchdowns to Ben Roethlisberger in a loss to the Steelers. The game before that, they allowed Carson Wentz of the Eagles to throw a pair of scores and run in another one. While Rivers’ ceiling might not be as high for this game, his recent play combined with Baltimore’s struggles makes him a decent start.
