The New York Jets were once again walked all over by their opponents last week, losing 35-9 to the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes was on his MVP level, racking up 416 passing yards and five touchdowns. The biggest beneficiary was Travis Kelce, but is this a trend that will continue into Week 9 against Carolina?
Fantasy Football analysis: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce
With the emergence of a long-term injury suffered by San Francisco’s George Kittle, Travis Kelce is now without a doubt the top fantasy tight end in the league. In Week 8, Kelce totaled eight catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. That performance, which was his best fantasy outing in 2020, raised his season DKFP average to a league-leading 18.75. The Panthers will definitely be a tougher opponent than the Jets, though. They have held tight ends Darren Waller, Hunter Henry, Hayden Hurst, and Jared Cook to under 13 DKFP, but Travis Kelce is an entirely different beast.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
If you don’t start Travis Kelce, you shouldn’t be playing fantasy football.
