What to do with Darren Waller in Week 9 fantasy football

We go over Darren Waller’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Raiders Week 9 matchup against the Chargers.

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller is probably someone who should be in your lineup every week, assuming you’re lucky enough to that option available to you. Though he had a down week last week, he’s due for a big game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

Fantasy Football analysis: Raiders TE Darren Waller

Like everyone else involved in the passing game, Waller barely registered any meaningful stats in last week’s weather beaten game against the Browns. He had five catches on six targets for 27 yards, all team highs in that game. He leads all Raiders pass catchers with 61 targets, nearly double the next highest count.

The Chargers have been battered by tight ends this season. They’ve given up five touchdowns in seven games to opposing tight ends, along with an average of 53 yards per game. Given that and Waller’s role in the offense, he’s looking at a big week.
