Houston Texans tight end Jordan Atkins is expected to return to the field after missing time with injuries. What should fantasy owners be doing if they have Atkins or Darren fells? Let’s take a closer look at the Texans tight end position.

Fantasy Football analysis: Texans TEs Darren Fells, Jordan Akins

Prior to its bye week, Houston lost 35-20 to the Green Bay Packers and Houston’s tight ends did not factor into the game statistically. Atkins missed his third consecutive game and in his absence, Fells had zero passes go his way from quarterback Deshaun Watson in the loss. Atkins missed time with a high ankle sprain and concussion but is expected to return to the field this weekend.

Coming off the bye, Houston will match up with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Jacksonville is coming off a 39-29 road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. In that game, Chargers tight end Virgil Green had one catch for 26 yards and a touchdown, and Hunter Henry had three catches for 23 yards. Donald Parham had one 22-yard touchdown catch.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Fells and Atkins have no reason to be inserted into starting lineups in Week 9’s game. At best, Atkins is a tight end No. 2 in his return.
