The Miami Dolphins will play their second game with rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as the starter this week. It’s not an easy one either; the Dolphins will head to Arizona to play the Cardinals and a pass defense that’s got five interceptions in its last two games.
Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa
Tagovailoa made his debut last week against the Los Angeles Rams, getting a big win thanks to a parade of turnovers from Jared Goff. However, the rookie struggled. He completed just 12 of 22 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.
Miami is likely to expand the playbook a little for Tagovailoa this week, and they’ll have to if they’re going to stay competitive in this one. But for fantasy purposes, it’s just too soon to count on the rookie to produce. Give him at least another week to see if the Dolphins feel comfortable taking the training wheels off.
