Despite some early season production, Miami Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki has since tailed off. Now, with the team handing over quarterback duties to rookie Tua Tagovailoa, Gesicki isn’t much more than a fantasy football afterthought, at least until we can get a clearer idea of what this offense is going to look like.
Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki
Gesicki caught one pass on two targets for eight yards last week against the Rams, Tagovailoa’s first start. That was actually better than his last outing, when he caught nothing despite two targets. Other than a 91-yard outing against the 49ers back in Week 5, Gesicki hasn’t had more than 15 yards in a game since Week 2.
It’s possible that Gesicki will get more work as the Dolphins figure out what they want the offense to look like with Tagovailoa leading it now. Until then, he’s best left out of your lineups.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Mike Gesicki.
