The Miami Dolphins opened a new chapter last week, handing over the offense to rookie first-round pick Tua Tagovailoa. And while they did win in his first start, the offense took a big step back while the first-year signal caller gets his feet wet. Unfortunately, that puts a big damper on the production from the team’s wide receivers.
Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins WRs DeVante Parker, Preston Williams
Parker hadn’t exactly been tearing up the field this season, but he had four games with at least 50 yards, including a 110-yard outing against the Seahawks. Last week against the Rams with Tagovailoa making his debut, he was targeted just twice, catching one for a three-yard touchdown. It’s hard to think things will get better this week against a pretty good Cardinals pass defense.
It’s hard to make much sense from one game that also happens to be a rookie QB’s first start, but the fact that Preston Williams was targeted five times is something worth watching going forward. He did only catch two of those for a total of 15 yards. He’s best left on the bench, Parker too, until we see how the offense will look with the new QB.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit DaVante Parker and Preston Williams.
