What to do with Jared Cook in Week 9 fantasy football

We go over Jared Cook’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Saints Week 9 matchup against the Bucs.

Good tight end help is hard to find these days in fantasy football. So it’s good to have steady, if unspectacular, options like Jared Cook of the New Orleans Saints available. So what about this week when the Saints on the road for a touch matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

Fantasy Football analysis: Saints TE Jared Cook

Last week against the Bears, Cook caught five passes on seven targets, matching season highs. He finished with 51 yards and a touchdown. It was his third game in a row with a score, making it four out of his last five. The fact that he’s a regular threat to score makes Cook a valuable fantasy player at an otherwise thin position. His season high for yardage in a game came back in Week 1, against the Bucs, when he had 80 yards on five catches.

The likely return of Emmanuel Sanders and Michael Thomas this week could cut into Cook’s production. But he’s still a decent start.
