What to do with Rob Gronkowski, Cameron Brate in Week 9 fantasy football

We go over Rob Gronkowski, Cameron Brate’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Bucs Week 9 matchup against the Saints on Sunday Night Football.

The Bucs are coming off a 25-23 win on the road against the New York Giants where both Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate were the benefactors of multiple targets, but Gronk was more of a focus as is expected as he saw 4 targets in comparison to Brate’s 2.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs TEs Rob Gronkowski, Cameron Brate

It’s the same story as usual — when Gronk is healthy, he outperforms Brate consistently as Brady sends more targets his way. Gronkowski is among the most consistent of TEs from a fantasy perspective, finishing in the top 10 TEs in the league for the last 3 weeks in a row. While he’s not always the top performer in the league, fantasy managers can generally count on him for double digit points. In their Week 9 matchup against the Saints, he can be expected to perform just as well as he has the last few weeks, despite Chris Godwin’s return and Antonio Brown’s impending debut. On the other hand, Brate hasn’t done much for fantasy owners this season, taking a back seat to Gronk at nearly every turn. Brate’s only put up double-digit yards twice this season — his highest coming in Week 5 going 5-for-6 and 44 yards against the Bears. He only saw 2 targets last week against the Giants, and with Gronk firing on all cylinders, he probably shouldn’t be on any fantasy manager’s radar.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Rob Gronkowski, sit Cameron Brate.
