Game status: Jacobs is ACTIVE for Week 9.

Game day update: Josh Jacobs is expected to play, per Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy football players wondering about the status of Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs have been on pins and needles this week. He is on the official injury report with a knee issue, something he’s had most of the season, but an illness was added to his status this week. After practicing Wednesday, he missed Thursday, but did manage to get in a limited session on Friday. However, he is expected to play on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy impact: Josh Jacobs (knee, illness)

Jacobs is coming off an impressive 31-carry performance last week against the Broncos. He rolled up 129 yards in the process, a season-high for the Raiders’ stud running back. He has a solid matchup on tap against the Chargers this week, and should be in your lineup.

The Raiders have Devontae Booker and Jalen Richard for those occasions when Jacobs is not able to play, but it does not look as though they’ll be needed this week.
