Chris Godwin is on the Bucs final injury report for Week 9. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions ahead of Sunday Night Football.

Game status: Godwin is ACTIVE for Week 9.

Game day update: Bruce Arians has said Chris Godwin is expected to play on Sunday Night Football, per Ian Rapoport.

After missing last week’s game with a finger injury, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin will be back in action for a divisional showdown against the New Orleans Saints. Godwin is still listed as questionable, but after two limited practice sessions, he was able to go in full on Friday.

Fantasy impact: Chris Godwin (finger)

In his last game, in Week 7 against the Raiders, Godwin caught nine of nine targets for 88 yards and a touchdown. That was his second score of the season, in just four games. Normally a reliable option at wide receiver in fantasy football, Godwin is returning to a Bucs lineup that is even more loaded as Antonio Brown will be making his season debut. Still, even with that unknown element, Godwin is still a better bet for fantasy lineups this week. When he has played, he’s been targeted no fewer than six times in a game, and he’s caught 25 of 29 balls thrown his way.
