How to watch the 2020 Masters

It’s Masters Week ... in November! Here’s how to watch the biggest golf tournament of the year.

Previewing the Masters

It’s Masters week! Covid-19 forced Augusta National Golf Club to postpone the April tournament, and instead we get it in mid-November. It’s been an odd year for the sports calendar, so it’s fitting that we head into the winter with a weekend that will feature the biggest golf tournament of the year.

The Masters gets underway on Thursday, November 12th. Normally we get the Par 3 contest on Wednesday, but that has been canceled this year. The first coverage will have ESPN+ airing practice rounds on Tuesday the 10th and Wednesday the 11th. Tournament coverage will get underway at 7:30 a.m. ET on Thursday at Amen Corner via live stream on ESPN+, Masters.com, and the Masters apps. The first television coverage starts at 8 a.m. on Thursday when Golf Channel gets going.

The one significant change to the televised coverage is the addition of College GameDay. Yes, you read that right. Due to the schedule of the Masters this year, it’s happening on college football Saturday. Although CBS takes over TV coverage on the weekend, ESPN’s partnership with the Masters is resulting in College GameDay setting up shop at the Par 3 course from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. It should be fun!
