Thursday AM update: The Masters has suspended first round play as of 7:37 a.m due to inclement weather. There is no word yet on when the round will resume.
The Masters was moved from April to November due to Covid-19, and that move could bring some weather complications this week at Augusta National Golf Club.
Tropical Storm Eta is making its way into Florida and moving north. It is not expected to create too many problems in Georgia, but there is a good chance of rain. The PGA Tour’s official website along with the National Weather Service forecast rain being most likely on Thursday, but still a decent chance through the weekend.
The National Weather Service has an 80 percent chance of rain on Thursday, 40 percent on Friday, 30 percent on Saturday, and 40 percent on Sunday. Here’s the full forecast for Augusta during the tournament.
