Jared Goff threw the ball almost 50 times in the Rams Week 13 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, leading to plenty of opportunity for success across the board on the Rams offense. Both Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp benefited from this high passing volume and had solid performances, though neither of them were able to find the end zone. Things will get a little tougher in Week 14 against the Patriots, and fantasy owners may be wondering if they should continue to keep these wideouts in their starting lineups. We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Rams WRs Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods
The New England Patriots have allowed the 12th fewest points to opposing fantasy wide receivers this season. They aren’t necessarily a matchup to avoid but they can be a force to be reckoned with at times. Robert Woods is averaging 16.6 points and 8.2 targets per game this season. He has failed to reach double digit points only three times this entire season, demonstrating a high floor. With his high target volume, Woods is in your starting lineup no matter the opponent and he can be played as a WR2 this week against New England.
Cooper Kupp brought in eight of nine targets for 73 yards to finish with 15.3 PPR points in Week 13. While nine targets is high for any receiver in any game, it’s actually pretty average for Kupp, who has averaged 8.75 targets per game this entire season. That stat tells you about all you need to know about whether Kupp should be in your lineup or not. His target share is significant and he therefore holds extra value in PPR leagues. The Patriots will be a tougher opponent for the Rams, but Kupp is still worthy of a spot in lineups as a WR2.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Robert Woods as a WR2
Start Cooper Kupp as a WR2
