DeAndre Hopkins questionable, but expected to play in Week 14

The Cardinals No. 1 receiver is dealing with neck and back injuries as we head into their matchup with the Giants.

Friday update: Hopkins was able to get in a limited practice on Friday and is listed as questionable, per Art Stapleton. Coach Kliff Kingsbury does expect Hopkins to play. He remains a must start in fantasy.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins didn’t practice on Thursday with neck and back injuries, per Kyle Odergard. Hopkins’ status for the Cardinals game against the New York Giants may come down to his Friday participation at practice, but he has played this season without practicing.

His absence from practice this late in the season is likely more to do with maintenance than an injury that will keep him out of the game this week, but it is something to keep an eye on of course. Hopkins has had a strong season, but lately his targets have more often been short, relegating him to more of a possession receiver than the big-play man he is.

Hopkins will get a tough matchup this week with James Bradberry, but he’s too good to knock too far in your fantasy rankings in any matchup. If he appears to be a game-time decision and possibly hampered this week, that would give me more pause than the matchup.
