Game day update: Unlike other teams in the NFL, it is hard to trust either Devin Singletary or Zack Moss in fantasy football this season. Neither running back has done a great job to take control of the starting job and doesn’t produce enough points to warrant a RB2 of FLEX spot.

Last week against the Niners, Singletary scored 8.3 points, and Moss scored a disappointing 1.4 points. Looking at their matchup this week against the Steelers, Singletary nor Moss might find success on the ground. ESPN projects Singletary to score 7.7 fantasy points and Moss to score 5.7 fantasy points.

For weeks now, we’re been expecting Zack Moss to take a commanding edge over Devin Singletary as the dominant force in the Buffalo Bills’ backfield. That didn’t happen last week; Moss finished the game against the 49ers in the doghouse after a costly fumble. Singletary had 18 carries for 61 yards and three catches for 22 more, while Moss had just three carries for nine yards and one catch. So what to expect this week against the Steelers?

Fantasy Football analysis: Bills RBs Devin Singletary, Zack Moss

Singletary had a slight edge in touches the week before last week. He had 11 carries 82 yards against the Chargers, and three catches for 20 more. Moss had nine carries for 59 yards in that one and two catches for nine yards. So it’s hard to know if the Bills are going into this one with an eye toward a split in the workload or if one guy has a clear edge.

Another problem is the Steelers defense. Just one running back has had more than 70 yards against Pittsburgh over their last five games, and they’ve only allowed opposing running back to score twice in that span. Singletary may have some upside as a RB3, but I wouldn’t bank on much. Moss is probably a fade this week.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Devin Singletary at RB3. Sit Zack Moss.
