The last time “El Cucuy” Ferguson won a bout was in June 2019 at UFC 238, where he defeated Donald Cerrone in Round 2 via a doctor stoppage (TKO). Cerrone apparently blew his nose between Rounds 2 and 3, which subsequently caused his swollen right eye to completely shut.

As for Oliveira, he enters the UFC APEX with a professional fighting record of 29-8-1 (1 NC) and is ranked seventh in lightweight. The 31-year-old from Brazil has won seven consecutive bouts and will be trying to win his second match in 2020.

Earlier this year at UFC Fight Night 170, Oliveira defeated Kevin Lee in Round 3 via guillotine choke. “Do Bronx” Oliveira lands 3.27 significant strikes per 15 minutes, with an accuracy of 51 percent.
