Game day update: Myles Gaskin was added to the COVID/reserve list on Saturday after a positive test, so he will be out for this week’s game against the Bengals. That leaves DeAndre Washington to handle backfield duties for the team, which is also without Salvon Ahmed and Matt Brieda this week. Patrick Laird and Lynn Bowden Jr. will likely see some work too.
After four games out of action because of a knee injury, Miami Dolphins running back Myles Gaskin wasted no time sliding back into the team’s top spot in the backfield. Last week against the Bengals, he carried the ball 21 times for 90 yards, adding another 51 yards on two catches for a nice little fantasy scoring bonus.
Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins RB Myles Gaskin
Another positive development in last week’s game for fantasy football is that he didn’t have to share much of the workload. The Dolphins have their work cut out for them this week against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Running backs are having some success against the Chiefs. Last week, Melvin Gordon of the Broncos ran for 131 yards on 15 carries. The Dolphins typically run a pretty conservative offense, so Gaskin should get his touches early on, but whether or not they can keep running much after the first half remains to be seen.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Myles Gaskin as an RB2.
