Game day update: The Jets might be without Jamison Crowder this week. He suffered a calf injury in practice on Thursday and was unable to get in any work on Friday. Breshad Perriman stands to get more work without Crowder and Denzel Mims, who’s also out, and ESPN projects him to score 11 fantasy points this week. With Crowder, Braxton Berrios is likely to see more work in the slot, and ESPN is projecting him to score 9.6 points.
After watching a win slip away in the final seconds last week, the New York Jets will try again this week, facing much longer odds, against the Seattle Seahawks. And even though you have to look pretty closely to find it, there is some fantasy value to be had on the Jets’ roster, particularly for one of their wide receivers.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jets WRs Jamison Crowder, Breshad Perriman
Last week, Crowder found the end zone twice, his first touchdowns since Week 9. He caught five passes on seven targets against the Raiders. We’re a long way from the start of the season where Crowder had three games in a row with more than 100 yards, but he’s got a good chance to pace the passing attack this week with Denzel Mims out of action. The Seahawks have been better against opposing receivers lately, but they are still vulnerable to production from the slot, which is good news for Crowder.
Perriman had just 22 yards last week, catching one of four targets. He’s put up better numbers when the Jets had Joe Flacco under center, and even without Mims, he’s best left out of your lineup this week.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Jamison Crowder as a WR2. Sit Breshad Perriman.
